Our classic Southern California white table wine is back and more delicious than ever. As a 135-year-old California winery and having bottled “Chablis” for the last 75 years, we are still allowed under the labeling law to bottle this white blend with its iconic name. To the winemakers 75 years ago, not having historical relevance in the region, the name “Chablis” sounded “fancy”, so the generic white wine blend got the name. We make this white blend today to pay homage to the early winemakers of the old west by continuing their tradition. This wine has very little in common with its fancier French namesake, but it is oh, so enjoyable nonetheless, and a real slice of Old California winemaking.
